Dalene has six years experience in the environmental management field. She has been involved in and project managed a variety of environmental projects for local and state government as well as private industry. Dalene has experience in facilitating inter-agency and community committees, applying for and administering grants, preparing environmental and planning reports and plans, managing contracts and liasing with the public and a variety of agencies.
Dalene's recent work at Orbis has included the preparation of Environmental Management Plans, Ecological Management Plans and soil and groundwater monitoring studies and reports.
Dalene has also been involved in energy demand management projects and reporting.
Dalene’s work at Orbis has also included undertaking the environment and planning assessment of Urban and Coastal State Significant projects on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources. Dalene is especially familiar with the regional and state planning instruments that govern development along the NSW Coastline, Newcastle and in the Sydney Harbour, Homebush Bay and Rhodes areas in Sydney. Development application projects which Dalene has assessed range from first use and subdivisions to tourist facilities, agricultural development, warehousing units and mixed commercial/residential units.
Dalene has prepared Environmental Impact Assessment documentation for proposed petroleum, chemical waste, pipeline and remediation projects and has prepared Statements of Environmental Effects for a variety of projects in the Sydney area. Dalene has also assisted with setting up environmental compliance audits and has undertaken consultation with stakeholders.
At a Local Government level, Dalene has been involved in the preparation of coastline management plans, community land plans of management, environmental education projects, state of the environment reporting and the preparation of internal environmental management systems.
