Jo Glass has over eight years experience in the environmental management field. She has managed, and provided technical input into numerous Environmental Impact Assessment projects, both in NSW and overseas. In completing these projects, Jo has skills in managing subconsultants, liasing with government agencies and providing environmental advice to clients. Jo has a strong understanding of the environmental legislative requirements and has also undertaken consulting work for DIPNR (in the Major Assessments Group, Urban Assessments Group and the Coastal Team).
Jo has undertaken several EIA projects and also has expertise in preparing environmental management plans, developing and implementing environmental management systems, stakeholder consultation and environmental risk assessment. In addition, Jo has specialist experience in environmental auditing, having project managed and conducted over 40 Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits, primarily for large-scale merger and acquisition transactions both locally and overseas. These often complex projects have involved up to 200 sites at a time. As Project Manager, Jo has provided environmental advice at various key stages of the transactions, managed teams of consultants located in various countries and prepared reports of consistent standard to meet specific client requirements. Jo’s on-site auditing experience covers a range of industries including energy, manufacturing, government and consumer products and has included industrial facilities, commercial offices, shopping centres and hotels.
Jo has also been accredited by RABQSA for Environmental Auditing.
