Lucy McClean has over 13 years professional experience which includes managing and co-ordinating the certification of environmental auditors for the international body RABQSA International. Lucy was also a former Environmental Manager of a mineral exploration company which required her to undertake extensive community consultation, landholder negotiations and site rehabiliation. During this period she also setup the company’s Environmental Management System. She initiated and managed implementation of Australian Minerals Industry’s Code for Environmental Management, ensuring the company was the first exploration company to undertake this commitment.
Lucy’s earlier experience has included work in stormwater and environmental monitoring for AWT which included data collection, analysis and interpretation and report preparation. She has also worked in research and has lectured in science at the University of Sydney.
Due to her wide ranging experience, Lucy has specific skills in:
- project management,
- community consultation,
- liasing with external agencies,
- setting up Environmental Management Systems,
- site rehabilitation,
- landowner negotiations,
- environmental monitoring data analysis, and
- report preparation and review.
Lucy has recently joined Orbis, and her work includes community consultation and the review of draft Environmental Impact Statements, Statements of Environmental Effects and other reports produced by the company.
